These verses were written during the 90's. Nirvana, Pulp Fiction, the second wave of Surf Rock, Pixies, the "death" of vinyl, MTV's death, Hurricane Georges, my grant with several local rock bands and the pain of love. But these are not love poems. Rather, they are influenced by the Twilight Zone, the Far Side and Alice Cooper. They are reflections of life. Many of them are the lyrics of never played/recorded songs.

In those years I wrote a lot. Almost daily, I wrote something new. This is just a sample of my work in those so memorable years. For me, it was a great decade.

Then one night, coming down from Corozal, I reminded the spooky house of the severed dolls parts. When I was a kid, this place was actually in my neighborhood. The rest is history.

The Threshold of the Dead Dreams

The Threshold of the Dead Dreams

Second book of poetry.

                                           First paper edition.

                                           Second digital edition.

Poems.

These verses were written during the 90's. These are not love poems. Instead, they are influenced by the eccentric techniques Alice Cooper, Ozzy and Frank Black. They are reflections of life at certain times. There's a little bit of everything. Rereading today, I am surprised at how the words flowed swiftly. At that moment it felt as if someone were dictating them to me. I wrote before going to sleep and the next day, I was surprised with the result.

I stopped writing poetry to concentrate on the novels.

Things that Were Left Over From the Orgy

Things that Were Left Over From the Orgy

Third book of poetry.

                                            First paper edition.

                                            First digital edition.

Someone turned off the lights.

All the undressed and crazy thoughts were launched without respect or shame to the room of perception.
Blinded by desire, hungry as starving wolves, insatiable intelligences devoured between them, however, dissatisfied with the result, they gave themselves without restraint to their lascivious appetite.

There was a genuine orgy of ideas, verses, unfinished thoughts, secret messages and incomplete subliminal ideologies. There was an orgy of clips, notes, papers, quotations, notebooks, passages and drunken memories.

There was an orgy of unsettled poetry, of relegated philosophies, of never sang songs, of musical notes that were never played. There was excess of vice, surplus of intellectual curiosity. The rampage of letters seemed to not finish. There was rhetorical inspiration, lewd sketches, and hidden passions.

There was an orgy of images, visions, dreams, experiences, of unlived and secretly coveted fantasies.

There was a total debauchery, they wallowed in their satire, and then, the thoughts withdrew, vilified, isolating each in its own cosmos, and not daring to look back again.

In the final spasm, which ejaculatory convulsion, that intellectual orgasm was just an allegory...

... And these are the things that were left over... from that orgy...
